University of Oregon takes a multicultural approach to their museum studies program. Graduates receive a master's degree in arts and administration with a concentration in museum studies. According to its website, University of Oregon's program instructs master's candidates in the areas of "museum education, exhibition design, development, evaluation, information design, cultural policy, marketing and management." Through the program, students may intern at one of the school's two museums, but have the option of obtaining international internships as well. If you are interested in receiving a master's degree in museum studies from an accredited school in Oregon, this program is the only local option.

Students whose goals do not require a master's degree in museum studies should consider University of Oregon's graduate certificate program. The certificate calls for completion of 28 credit hours of relevant coursework and also requires a 200-hour internship. Because the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History are on the university's campus, students have access to authentic museum management experience.
