Electrical Vocational Schools

Electrical students at vocational schools will learn multiple facets of the trade in less than two years. While blueprint reading, electrical theory, electrical codes and pertinent safety requirements can all also be learned during apprenticeships, on-the-job training programs take 4 years to complete on average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Additionally, diploma and associate degree programs offered at electrical vocational schools will satisfy certain educational requirements necessary for licensure.
