    Simon Fraser University

    • Simon Frazer University offers a Bachelor of General Studies in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education, and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Early Childhood Education. The former is designed for undergraduate students wishing to pursue a career as an early elementary school teacher and the latter is for students who already hold an undergraduate degree and wish to add a specialization to their current credentials.     University of British Columbia

    • The University of British Columbia offers both a Master of Arts and a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. The first consists of coursework and a thesis and the second requires coursework and completion of a major project. Applicants for both programs will need a Bachelor of Education or a four-year undergraduate degree in a related subject, such as Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Family Studies, Nursing, or Psychology, as well as experience working with young children in a professional setting.
