Washington Veterinary Colleges

According to U.S. Department of Agriculture article "Washington Fact Sheet," 35 percent of Washington's land was designated farm land in 2007. Washington is the home to a broad market for the cattle industry. Cattle that are bred for milk and slaughter need medical attention from qualified veterinary professionals. There are also numerous places to go horseback riding and to see horse shows. Maintaining a job in a veterinary field helps ensure that farms can continue to raise healthy cattle and that horses bred for tourism in the state stay healthy.
