Medical Sonography & Ultrasound Schools in Indiana

Medical sonography--ultrasound--is the use of ultra-high-frequency sound waves to image and diagnose parts of the body. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for diagnostic medical sonographers are predicted to increase by 18 percent by 2018. A person can qualify to be entry-level sonographers through both degree and certificate/diploma programs. An advanced program for currently credentialed radiographers, this degree plan offers a clinical track for specialization in specific areas of medical imaging--including ultrasound--or a non-clinical track offering theoretical education in all forms of medical imaging.
