NYU's School of Continuing Education offers three professional certificate programs in financial risk management. The basic certificate covers core skills, and is designed for completion in nine months. The two advanced certificate courses specialize in either financial services and banking, or service and industry. Five courses are required for the basic certificate, while the advanced courses require three additional electives. Core courses include interest rate swaps, credit risk models, core concepts, fundamentals of risk management and intermediate financial risk management.
