  1. Global Association of Risk Professionals

    • The Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) offers one- and two-day courses throughout the year in various areas of financial risk management. They include essentials of banking risk, operational risk management and measurement and changes to the risk regulatory environment. Course fees include all training materials, along with breakfast, lunch and snacks. Classes are held in GARP's London or New York City offices.

    New York Institute of Finance

    • A one-day "Introduction to Financial Risk Management" seminar is held annually in New York City and Chicago by the New York Institute of Finance. The course outline includes the major causes, sources and evolution of financial risk. It addresses regulations, reducing financial disasters, recent examples of risky events and instruments for financial risk management. Clients receive a three-month complimentary subscription to Financial Times.

    New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies

    • NYU's School of Continuing Education offers three professional certificate programs in financial risk management. The basic certificate covers core skills, and is designed for completion in nine months. The two advanced certificate courses specialize in either financial services and banking, or service and industry. Five courses are required for the basic certificate, while the advanced courses require three additional electives. Core courses include interest rate swaps, credit risk models, core concepts, fundamentals of risk management and intermediate financial risk management.
