Allegheny College attracts 2,100 students from 46 states and 40 countries annually. Ninety-four percent of the 152 faculty members hold a doctorate or terminal degree. This private, liberal arts college offers 40 majors, a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio and average upper-level class size of 14. Edinboro University in Meadville is one of three campuses comprising Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institution. In addition to offering Associate degrees in human services, business administration and manufacturing engineering technology, Edinboro University in Meadville provides a menu of professional development courses. These include continuing education classes in internet marketing; business writing; sales, interviewing, leadership and performance management skills and small business administration. Laurel Technical Institute Meadville offers specialized associate degree programs in information technology, respiratory therapy, medical assistant, health information technology and office administration. Students can also earn diplomas in pharmacy technician and cosmetology. Spring, summer and fall enrollment periods attract 120 to 130 students annually. Laurel Technical Institute's placement service strives to have 90 percent of its graduates find a job in their field of study within three months of graduation.
