The Center for Christian Counseling offers a helpful scholarship for prospective students. According to CenterForChristianCounseling.net, the mission of the institution adheres to the philosophy that all people have a right to mental health assistance from professional practitioners, regardless of their ability to pay. Scholarship consideration is given preference to students expressing interest in mediation, spiritual conflict, premarital and/or family-relationship counseling. The size of the scholarship changes depending upon donations, and those who commit to donating receive a tax-deduction letter.
The Concordia University Presidential Scholarship provides funding for students of Christian counseling and ministry studies. According to ScholarshipsandGrants.us, the CUPS scholarship is renewable for up to four years, and could amount to as much as $75,000 in funds. For this scholarship, academic merit can make all the difference--a high school student looking to advance with a CU scholarship must maintain at least a GPA of 3.6 and a score of 1210 on the SAT or 27 on the ACT. CU provides two of the prestigious presidential scholarships every year.
The Mark Bondurant Memorial Scholarship helps those studying counseling within a Pastoral Ministries major. This scholarship is specific to Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, and comes with academic requirements. Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to remain rewarded.
The Baptist Leadership Award is provided by Campbellsville University in Kentucky. The BLA requires students to maintain a 2.0 GPA and provide service to campus offices, according to the Christian Colleges site. The scholarship can be helpful in paying for the books of those seeking majors in counseling or other varieties of Christian service. The BLA provides two half-tuition scholarships, 15 $1,000 scholarships, and 45 $500 scholarships.
