How to Write a Basic Bibliography

A bibliography is a requirement for an essay or research paper. It shows the reader which sources were used to research the essay. Additionally, a bibliography serves as a list of further resources for a reader to seek out on the subject. The bibliography is located on a separate page at the end of the essay. In MLA style, which is widely used in schools and universities across the United States, the bibliography is titled "Works Cited." A specific format is used to list all sources and care should be taken to ensure that directions are followed exactly.
