How to Get a Degree Without General Education Courses

A program, called the College-Level Examination Program, allows you to skip general courses and begin working toward your degree with degree-specific courses. The CLEP program offers 33 different exams in subjects such as English, math and history. You can use knowledge obtained through previous studies, course work, on-the-job training or cultural pursuits while gaining credit. It saves you time and money. After passing a correlating CLEP exam, the general course is removed from your list of required courses.
