Book Citations

  List the authors' full name first, with the last name first, separated by a comma from the initial of the first name. Place a period after the authors' name.

  List the year of publication in parentheses. Place a period after the end parenthesis mark.

  List the title of the book in italics. Place a period after the last word of the title.

  List the location of the publishing house. Place a colon after the name of the location.

  List the publishing house after the colon. Place a period after the name of the publisher.

Article Citation

  Begin the citation with the authors' name, last then first, separated by a comma. Place a period after the authors' name.

  List the name of the article. Do not italicize.

  List the journal or the book in which the article appears. Place the book or journal's name in italics. If it is a journal, list the volume number after the name of the journal, separated by a comma. Place a comma at the end.
