Located on the Main Avenue West in Fargo, the West Fargo Public School system claims to provide quality education to its K-12 students. The school is accredited by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and the North Central Association (N.C.A.) of Colleges and Schools. The school system includes a number of schools in the district, including Clayton A. Lodoen KC, Osgood KC, Aurora Elementary, Eastwood Elementary, Harwood Elementary, Horace Elementary, L.E. Berger Elementary, South Elementary, Westside Elementary, Cheney Middle, STEM Center, Sheyenne 9th Gr. Center, W.F. Community High and W.F. High.
Minot Public Schools District, accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the state of North Dakota, is located in Minot. As of 2011, more than 6,500 students are enrolled. The district has one four-year high school, divided into two campuses, the Central Campus for grades 9 and 10, and the Magic City Campus for grades 11 and 12. The district also has three middle schools, 12 elementary schools, two alternative high school campuses and a Head Start program for 0-to-5-year-olds.
Bismarck is the capital city of North Dakota. The Bismarck Public School District has been in operation since 1873. The district boasts more than 500 classrooms in 16 elementary schools, three middle schools, three senior high schools, an alternative high school, a career academy and a technical center, as well as an early childhood center. According to its website, the dropout rate in 2009-2010 was only 1.3 percent.
The city of Grafton, located in the heart of Red River Valley, consists of Century Elementary School for grades K-4, Central Middle School for grades 5 to 8, and Grafton High School for grades 9 to 12. The school system also has an English Language Learner system, in which students who need special emphasis on their language skills are admitted.
