Canadian Bible Colleges

Study for a bachelor's degree, a diploma or certificate in theological or religious studies with one of Canada's denominational or interdenominational Christian colleges and universities. There are more than 40 schools in Canada providing bible and academic studies. Whether you are Pentecostal, Lutheran, Baptist or of another religious persuasion, there are schools in almost every province. Theological studies can prepare you for a career in the ministry, missionary or lay work.
  1. Interdenominational Colleges

    • Interdenominational Bible colleges represent most Christian religions.

      Study for your bachelor of theology (B.Th.) and bachelor of religious education (B.R.E.) at the prestigious Emmanuel College, located in Kitchener, Ontario, just over an hour's drive from Toronto. Emmanuel College is an accredited member of the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education, which is recognized by the American Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Emmanuel College is an interdenominational college. Students represent more than 30 Christian denominations .

      Attend Alberta Bible College in Calgary, Alberta, and study for a one-year certificate in Christian foundations (C.C.F), a two-year diploma in Christian ministries, or a four-year bachelor of religious education (B.R.E) degree. Alberta Bible College was founded in 1932 and is an accredited member of the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Alberta Bible College also provides courses in teaching English to speakers of other language (TESOL) to prepare students who are called to serve the ministry in other countries. Alberta Bible College is affiliated with the Restoration Movement and welcomes students of all Christian religions.

    Evangelical Colleges

    • A degree in religious education can prepare you for a career as a missionary.

      Earn your graduate degree at Toronto's Tyndale University College and Seminary. Tyndale came to fruition from a merger with a number of smaller colleges, including Toronto Bible College, which was founded in 1894. Tyndale is an evangelical trans-denominational school that offers degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. Tyndale Seminary provides master's degrees in divinity, theology and theological studies. The doctor of ministry program is a new addition to their program (as of 2011).

    Lutheran

    • An academic background is important for those entering into a religious life of service.

      Attend Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute for its strong academic and biblical programs. The Institute is located in beautiful Camrose, Alberta, located on the shores of Mirror Lake. Earn your certificate in biblical studies and Christian discipleship study or continue your studies to earn a bachelor of theological studies.

      Pray and study at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, located at Wilfrid Laurier University, a top-ranked university in Canada. Graduate students can continue their studies to earn a master of arts in theology: spiritual care and counseling, and Christian studies, or a doctor of ministry in pastoral leadership.

    Baptist Colleges

    • Christian education is available across Canada.

      Get a head start on your degree with correspondence courses at Toronto Baptist Seminary, located in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Though you may earn credits online, you will have to attend the school to complete your studies. Toronto Baptist Seminary also provides graduate-degree programs with a focus on pastoral ministry and biblical studies.

      Join the student body striving for higher education for a higher purpose at Canadian Baptist Bible College. The college is a ministry of the Pembina Valley Baptist Church. Study for a bachelor of theology or bachelor of biblical studies degree in the city of Winkler, Manitoba, on Lake Agassiz.
