Berkeley College was founded in 1931 and has eight campuses in New York and New Jersey. "Berkeley College empowers students to achieve professional and personal success in dynamic careers and in a diverse global society by providing a comprehensive and supportive educational experience, fostering academic integrity, and encouraging lifelong learning," says the school's mission statement. Berkeley offers an interior design management course that they say "help students develop technical skills, creativity, and an understanding of aspects of interior design that affect the health, safety, and welfare of the general public." A certificate of high school graduation is required for admission as well as a non-refundable $50 admissions fee.
Harrington College of Design in Chicago is dedicated to "create" the next generation of design professionals to lead and serve the global community." Harrington is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school offers a variety of interior design degrees including Master's degrees and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.
New York School of Interior Design offer a variety of degrees and courses. NYSID states that "critical to its mission is the engagement with New York City's cultural institutions, access to design resources, and its immersion in the city's economy." The school is accredited by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and have numerous other professional and academic affiliations, all of which can be viewed on its website on the accreditation page.
The Art Institute of California -- Los Angeles says its mission is "to provide postsecondary education programs that will prepare students for entry-level employment in their chosen fields through market-driven curricula." The school is accredited by the Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and offers a Bachelor of Science Interior Design degree.
