  1. University of Kentucky College of Design

    • UK's interior design program has undergraduate and graduate degrees and ranks No. 42 on the School of Interior Design's list of the Top 100 Interior Design Schools in the World. It is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. The School of Interior Design, the School of Architecture and the Department of Historic Preservation to make up the College of Design. The university, located in Lexington, Kentucky, has a total enrollment of more than 26,000.

    University of Louisville Hite Art Institute

    • The bachelor of fine arts program at the Hite Art Institute offers an interior architecture studio art track that is CIDA-accredited and ranks No. 89 on the Top 100 list. Acceptance into the program is limited: Only students currently working on a bachelor's degree with a minimum art/art history grade-point average of 3.0 and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 can apply. Total enrollment at the state-supported university in Louisville, Kentucky, is more than 20,000 students.

    University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning

    • UC offers a bachelor of science degree in a CIDA-accredited interior design program. Cincinnati is just across the Ohio state line, and this design powerhouse is only a bridge ride away from Kentucky, where several counties are part of a reciprocity agreement, qualifying residents for in-state tuition rates: Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Kenton, Bracken, Carroll, Grant and Pendleton. More than 41,000 students attend UC.

    Sullivan College of Technology and Design

    • Sullivan technical career institution offers an associate of applied science degree and a bachelor of arts in interior design at its Louisville campus. The interior design program earned a five-year accreditation from the National Kitchen and Bath Association in 2010.
