Applied Art Colleges

The applied arts relate to the use of aesthetic design and arrangement in order to make everyday living easier and more functional. The applied arts are centered around practicality. Some applied arts disciplines include graphic design, architecture and interior design. Several colleges around the United States focus primarily on applied arts.
  1. Appalachian State University

    • Appalachian State University is a state school located in Boone, North Carolina. Appalachian State University features a College of Fine and Applied Arts, which itself consists of five separate divisions. The divisions include communications, art and technology. Some of the diverse undergraduate programs that are part of the college include apparel and textiles, graphic design, printmaking and arts management. Bachelor's of art, fine arts and science are all granted.
