Courses on audio engineering are limited to classes of 12, making for a more focused and creative environment. Students have the option of attending classes in the daytime or in the evening. Students at the Middle Tennessee State University can study the finer points of audio production through the school's Department of Recording Industry. The department has five recording studios, a mastering lab and a post production suite. Students enrolled in the audio production program have access to all of the facilities, and also benefit from multi-media classrooms where they can learn recording techniques through practical study. Other parts of the course cover essential subjects such as copyright law and audio repair, giving the students a well-rounded education in all aspects of audio production.
