The College of Southern Nevada opened in 1971 and has about 43,000 students enrolled across several campuses. CSN offers associate's degrees in dental hygiene, automotive technology, electronic engineering, real estate and occupational therapy, among many other degrees. Students can earn certificates as nursing assistants, contact lens technicians and emergency medical technicians. The college offers financial aid along with academic scholarships to students.

High-Tech Institute is a nationwide chain of specialty colleges owned by the Anthem Education Group. The Las Vegas branch sits in the heart of Las Vegas, just south of the downtown area. The Las Vegas branch only offers certificates in culinary arts or pastry arts. The school believes the limited degree selection allows the staff to teach subjects more in-depth.
