Spouses of military personnel can work toward their associate degree from Palomar College by taking classes on base at Camp Pendleton. Select classes are offered on site for spouses, family and military personnel which can be applied toward more than 200 associate's degrees and certificate programs. Classes in criminal law, business law, computer science, English, history, mathematics, science and economics are offered. Degree and certificate programs are offered in arts, media, business, computer science, languages, counseling, mathematics, natural and health sciences and social and behavioral sciences. Career, technical and extended education opportunities are also available for students attending Palomar College at Camp Pendleton. Palomar College's main campus is in nearby San Marcos.
Park University offers spouses of military personnel based at Camp Pendleton a chance to earn a college education while tending to their family's needs and work. The university has more than 130 years experience teaching students. Though Park University offers traditional teaching methods, its student body is more non-traditional with thousands of students taking advantage with off-campus and online course work. Select classes are available at the base from Park University that are enhanced through online education learning venues. Park University offers bachelor of science degrees in many fields of study, including criminal justice administration, information and computer science, management and social psychology.
Central Texas College is a two-year community college based in Killeen, Texas that offers associate degrees and certificates in academic, professional and vocational fields to military personnel and their families at Camp Pendleton. Classes for the five different degree programs are offered through eight-week terms, with most classes taught in the evening, during lunch or on the weekends. Degree programs include general studies, business management, criminal justice, information technology and social science. Certificate programs are available in office assistance, business management and network specialist. Financial aid and tuition assistance are available to all students.
Central Michigan University offers select classes to military personnel, their families and civilians at Camp Pendleton. Spouses can pursue a graduate certificate in general administration, human resources administration, information resource management and international resource administration. Other degree programs offered on the base include a master of arts degree offered in education and a master of science in administration. Central Michigan University has been offering off-campus learning since 1971 and holds classes at Camp Pendleton in the Joint Education Center Building near the main exchange and rear gate.
National University has offered non-traditional learning opportunities for students of all backgrounds and educational needs since 1971. The school has a branch on the base at Camp Pendleton. The School of Engineering and Technology offers a master of science in homeland security and safety engineering and the College of Letters and Sciences offers a bachelor of science in domestic security management. There is also a bachelor of science in general studies available through the College of Arts and Letters.
