Attending a community college in Honolulu, Hawaii is a unique experience.   1. Honolulu Community College

    • Honolulu Community College has been a fully accredited college since 1970. The school provides special assistance to students wishing to transfer to the University of Hawaii to obtain a four-year baccalaureate degree. The school offers elements of Asian, American, and Pacific cultural influences which come together for a unique college experience. The areas of study which Honolulu Community College is known for are engineering technology, photography, mechanics and commercial art. The school does not have an athletics program. Graduates of any United States high school are eligible to apply.

    Kapi'olani Community College

    • Located on the hills of the famous Diamond Head Crater, Kapi'olani Community College is well known for its liberal arts program which is one of the largest in the state of Hawaii. In addition to this course of study, the school offers nationally recognized certificate and associate degree programs in business, technology, health sciences, education, legal professions, culinary studies and emergency medical services. The school does not have an athletics program. Both out of state and international students are able to apply.

    Windward Community College

    • Founded in 1972, Windward Community College is located just 11 miles from Honolulu. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Windward focuses on liberal arts degrees as well as humanities, language arts, mathematics, business, natural sciences and social science. To be eligible for attendance, applicants must be United States residents who are 18 years old by the first day of instruction or a graduate of high school (a GED diploma is also acceptable).

    Leeward Community College

    • Leeward Community College is located in Pearl City, Hawaii, approximately 14 miles from Honolulu. The school was founded in 1968 and offers an unobstructed view of Pearl Harbor. The school offers baseball, softball and soccer varsity sports teams. Courses of study specialization include liberal arts, automotive technology, television production, culinary arts and business. There are a total of 63 certificate and associate degrees offered. To be eligible for attendance, applicants must be United States residents who are 18 years old by the first day of instruction or a graduate of high school (a GED diploma is also acceptable).
