Talk with the Chapman University admission office. To receive individualized, one-on-one information about transferring, contact the admission office and schedule an appointment with an admission counselor. The admission counselor should be able to assist prospective transfer students in organizing an academic plan in order to successfully transfer to Chapman University.
Read the transfer brochure. You can download a copy of the Chapman University transfer brochure off of the school's official website. The brochure explains in detail the general education requirements that are necessary for transfer students from both two-year and four-year institutions.
Go directly to the Chapman University website and click on the "Admission" page. Select the "Common Application" link which is geared towards both transfer students and high school applicants. This will send you to the "Common Application" page.
Register with the Common Application website. Fill out the form in detail, with your full name, date of birth, address, permanent home address, email and other pertinent information. Create a password to access the website.
Log in to the Common Application site. Now that you have registered with the site, you are able to officially start the application process.
Search for Chapman University in the website database. Once you reach the Chapman listing, review application deadlines, which are in March for fall transfer admissions, and in October for spring transfer admissions. To submit the application online, take note of the extra online application fee.
Compile the necessary documents to transfer. These documents include standardized test scores, such as SAT and ACT scores, high school and college transcripts, academic teacher evaluations, recommendations and a written essay. After putting together these documents, you can opt to either send them digitally through the Common Application website or directly to Chapman University's admissions office.
