Get an official copy of all college transcripts from any schools you have attended in the past, including your current university.
Complete the Spelman application either online or by printing the application. The application can be obtained by visiting the Spelman College website and clicking "Students," followed by "Prospective." Click "Apply online now" to complete the application from your computer or click "Download print application" to download and print the application for completion. As of June 2011, transfer applications must be received by April 1 for the fall semester or November 1 for the spring semester.
Submit a copy of your SAT scores if you wish to transfer with less fewer 30 credit hours. SAT scores can be requested by visiting the College Board SAT site and clicking "SAT," followed by "Scores" and "Send your scores." Click "Send scores" and log in or create an account to submit your test scores. As of June 2011, SAT scores are $10.50 per score request. The college code for Spelman is 5628.
Submit a copy of your ACT scores (if any) if you wish to transfer with fewer than 30 credit hours. ACT scores can be requested online, over the phone, through an ACT request form or by sending a request letter. As of June 2011, score copies are $10 per request with an additional $12 fee for requests made by telephone. The Spelman ACT code is 0794.
Get two letters of reference from instructors. The references can be from any instructor, but it is better that the letters be from instructors who have an intimate knowledge of your academic abilities.
Submit your application, the required documents and your application fee to the college's admission office. As of June 2011, the online application fee is $25 and the paper application fee is $35. Online application fees must be paid by credit card while paper applications can be paid by check, money order or credit card.
