Scholarships for Women Going Back to School

Whether your goal is to start your own small business, earn a pay raise or explore a forgotten passion, if you are one of the many women interested in returning to school, scholarship funding can help you realize your dreams. Many professional organizations and corporations, and even the AARP, set aside funding to support women who are interested in furthering their own career development by returning to college or professional school.
  1. AAUW Career Development Grants

    • The American Association for University Women (AAUW) provides several grant opportunities for women enrolling in higher education. The Career Development Grants, awarded in amounts between $2,000 and $12,000, are designed to help women who have already earned bachelor's degrees return to school. The grants can be used to pay for another undergraduate degree, a graduate degree or specialized technical training. Preference is given to women in underrepresented groups. The deadline is in December of every year and awards are made for the following academic year.
