Scholarships for Women in Psychology

Psychology, like many other sciences, was traditionally a male-dominated discipline. Female psychologists such as Anna Freud, Karen Horney and Mary Ainsworth came to prominence in the late 1800s to early 1900s. As of 2005, the U.S Women's Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that women account for 67 percent of all psychologists. This is why there are several scholarships designed specifically for women in the psychology field.
