Women attending California community colleges can apply for scholarships from the Latina Leadership Network. Every year, the organization awards ten scholarships, worth $500 apiece, to women studying at the community college level. Applicants must have completed at least 24 units of coursework, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and have one fully Latin-American parent or two parents who are each half Latin-American. The scholarship application requires two recommendation letters, a personal statement, and college transcripts. Students will also be evaluated on their academic accomplishments and community involvement.

Latinas Unidas in Rocheser, New York describes itself as an organization "uniting Latina women from different segments of the Greater Rochester Community" to promote the interests and concerns of their community. The group offers scholarships to help older women attend college, seeking to help adult students who are not receiving educational funding from traditional sources. Applicants must be Latina women, age 25 and over and seeking the scholarship to fund education that will further their careers and improve their earning potential. Award amounts vary; applicants must also live in one of the seven counties in the Genesse Valley of western New York state.

To "promote excellence of women and their families via education," the Latin American Women's Foundation offers scholarships to help adults attend college. Qualified applicants will be 25 years or older, and accepted in an accredited undergraduate program or a professional training or licensing program. The foundation seeks women with community service or volunteer experience with financial need. Applicants are required to provide two recommendation letters and a personal statement concerning personal interests, career goals, and reasons for pursuing an education. The foundation will also conduct personal interviews with applicants.
