They perform research in laboratory and natural settings; work in environmental management and conservation; teach at schools, museums, aquariums, zoos and nature centers; and work in health-care, finding solutions for human or animal disease. Many organizations and programs aim to assist women who are interested in pursuing a career in this field in the form of scholarships, fellowships and grants.
