The HBCU Foundation, Inc. provides students who attend a historically black college or university a $1,000 scholarship to help meet educational needs. Transfer students and graduating high school seniors are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must submit an essay with their application materials.

Lockheed Martin, in partnership with The United Negro College Fund, offers a $5,000 scholarship for an undergraduate freshmen or sophomore. Applicants must attend a historically black college or university and have a minimum G.P.A of 3.0. Scholarship recipients are expected to pursue majors in business, engineering and accounting. The purpose of the scholarship is to increase minority participation in the corporate arena. Applicants will also be considered for internships at Lockheed Martin.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund offers a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) emergency scholarship program. The fund was established to provide emergency funds to students who recently faced a family loss or a disaster. To be considered for the scholarship, students must be U.S. citizens and major in science, technology, engineering or math. In addition, students must be enrolled in school full-time enrollment and have a G.P.A of 2.5 . Students are encouraged to submit supporting materials with their application such as a letter from the school financial aid office, a police report, obituaries or other documents that provide information about the student's emergency. Applications are accepted continuously.
