The Actuary of Tomorrow Scholarship is awarded in memory of Stuart A. Robertson, one of the founders of the actuarial firm Milliman & Robertson (which is now called Milliman, Inc.). The scholarship is merit-based, and full-time college students who are preparing for their sophomore, junior or senior year may apply. To be considered, students should have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and have completed two actuarial exams. Private staffing consultant company S.C. International, Ltd. awards $500 and $1,000 scholarships each fall and spring semester to talented students pursuing careers in actuarial science. To qualify, students must be entering their senior year of college, have at least a 3.0 grade point average, major in mathematics or actuarial science, complete at least one actuarial exam and be eligible to work in the United States upon college graduation. The deadline to apply is December 31 for the spring semester and May 30 for the fall semester.
Note: Scholarships for the 2010-11 school year were temperarily suspended until further notice as of June 2010. According to the company's website, applicants are still encouraged to submit applications, as the award could be instituted at any time.

The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship is intended to support minority students who are pursuing a career in actuarial fields. Jointly funded by the Casualty Actuarial Society, the Society of Actuaries and the Actuarial Foundation, the award is open to African-American, Hispanic and/or Native American students who are in full-time undergraduate or graduate programs.
