The Jamaican American Association of Central Florida offers a $500 scholarship to students between the ages of 16 and 24 who are of Jamaican descent. Students must be enrolled to attend college and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Students interested in this scholarship must write a one-page explanation of how their heritage helps their success in the United States. Students must also be able to submit information proving their Jamaican heritage.

The Jamaican American Association of Northern California awards scholarships to students of Jamaican heritage who live in the United States. Students must demonstrate financial need for college tuition, books and other college expenses. They must be enrolled full- or part-time at an accredited college or university with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applications can be found on the association website and must be mailed to the association by May 31 of the scholarship year.

The American Friends of Jamaica provides a variety of grants to organizations that provide assistance to Jamaicans through education, health and economic development. Students, entrepreneurs and organizations can receive scholarships and grants up to $20,000 from the organization. Students can check the website for available scholarship and grant opportunities.
