The Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant Program is a needs-based grant program offered to Georgia residents attending private college within Georgia or to students living near the border attending an out-of-state school. Students receive either $200 per quarter or $300 per semester. To be eligible for the grant, a student must be a Georgia resident enrolled full time and be pursuing a degree. Other requirements include being a U.S. citizen/national or a permanent resident; complying with both Selective Service and Georgia Drug-free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990 requirements; not having defaulted or owe money on financial aid programs; maintaining good grades; and not having been given TEG payments for either 127 semesters or 190 quarter hours.

The Georgia's Leveraging Education Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Grant is a needs-based grant, and students can use these grants at both public and private colleges, universities or technical colleges within the State of Georgia. Grants vary between $300 to $2,000 per school year. To be eligible for the grant, students must demonstrate true monetary need, apply for the Federal Pell Grant and be enrolled for at least six hours per semester. Other requirements include being a Georgia resident; being a U.S. citizen/national or permanent resident; complying with both Selective Service and Georgia Drug-free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990 requirements; maintaining good grades in school; and not being in default or owe on a financial aid loan.

The Hope Grant is given to students attending a public technical college within Georgia who are looking to earn either a diploma or certificate. There is no limit to the number of programs for which this grant may be used, and students just need to make progress in their education. The HOPE Grant covers all fees and tuition, and students also receive $100 towards books. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a Georgia technical college, and they must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or apply for the Hope Grant each year.
