The Native American Education Grant is available to selected students who are members of federally recognized Native American or Native Alaskan tribes. Applicants must be first-time freshman who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited four-year undergraduate program. While students from all tribes may apply, selection priority is given to those students who have an affiliation with the Presbyterian church. Grant awards are worth $1,500 and may be renewed for up to four years of study.

The American Indian Education Foundation administers the Tools of the Trade Grant program, which provides funding for Native American students who may need help paying for books or other supplies. The grant award covers any necessary books and equipment that students may need, such as nursing supplies, computers, technical equipment, fees related to licenses or required insurance and textbooks. The amount of the grant varies based on funding and individual need.

The CIRI Foundation provides grant funding to Alaska Native tribe members who need help paying for college. The foundation sponsors a general vocational education grant as well as three Native grant programs. The vocational grant award is worth $4,500, while the Native village grants vary based on funding. Applicants may apply simultaneously for both a vocational award and a village grant. All awards are merit-based.

The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin sponsors a grant program for member students who are seeking their first undergraduate degree as well as adult students who are pursuing an associates or technical degree. Technical student grant awards range from $100 to $2,200, while undergraduate students may receive grants from $100 to $1,100. Grant awards are based on academic merit and financial need.

The Blackfeet Nation administers the Higher Education Grant program for student members who are pursuing two- and four-year degrees at accredited colleges and universities.
