The United States government offers financial assistance to math students through the National Science Foundation's Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded in varying amounts to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in math, science or related fields. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement and financial need. Because scholarships are awarded and disbursed through individual institutions, interested students should contact their financial aid office for further information and instructions on how to apply for National Science Foundation STEM Scholarships. Award amounts and application deadlines will vary by institution.
