The Salvation Army Advisory Board Scholarship is offered to an outstanding student attending Alfred State College in New York. To qualify, you must be pursuing a degree in the field of either nursing or human services, be ranked in at least the upper 50 percent of your class, be financially needy and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Additionally, students must submit two letters of recommendation and a five hundred word essay describing themselves and their educational and career goals. The award amount varies, but is generally between $1,000 and $3,000 per academic year.
