Salvation Army College Scholarships

The Salvation Army gives out college scholarships in three ways, according to Doug Smith, executive director of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs for the greater Houston area command. Scholarships can come through local advisory boards of each area, through some local churches and through special programs in areas throughout the nation. For the most part, these programs are usually funded privately through private donors, and they are rare.
