How to Apply for an Energy Grant in the Recovery Act

In February, 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in response to the crisis that threatened the U.S. economy. The $787 billion economic stimulus package included $275 billion earmarked for grants, contracts and loans, some of them aimed at promoting energy conservation and the U.S. renewable energy industry, according to Recovery.gov. The government website Grants.gov can guide you or your company or organization through the process of finding and applying for the grants.
