How to Type a Turabian Style Title Page

It is important for college and university students to correctly format term papers according to a professor's instructions. Properly formatting your papers is a quick and easy way to give off an air of professionalism. Turabian Style, a subset of Chicago Style, is intended for use by college students. Turabian Style sets out specific guidelines, which include centering and double-spacing most information, for formatting a title page.

Instructions

      Type the title of your paper a quarter of the way down the page. Use all capital letters.

      Type the subtitle in parentheses underneath if your paper has a subtitle. Use upper and lower case for the subtitle.

      Type your name halfway down the page. If required by your professor, include your student ID number directly underneath. This is the only information on the title page you should not double space.

      Type the subject and number of the class you are writing the paper for two-thirds down the page,

      Type the name of your professor on the next line.

      Type the name of your college or university on the next line. Follow it with a comma and the date you completed the paper.
