Gather the SAT scores that you received from College Board, the examination board that administers the test.
Add the three total scores for each section to find the composite score. The three sections --- math, writing and verbal --- are each scored out of 800 for a possible total of 2,400 points. If, for example, your scores were a 570 on math, 600 on verbal and a 600 on writing, your composite score would be a 1,770.
Examine your composite SAT score. If your score is lower than you would like, consider taking the SAT again.
