      Obtain published books that contain tests relevant to the style and questions asked on IQ tests. Suggested books are "Challenge Your Brain Math & Logic Puzzles," "Maximize Your IQ," and "The Book of IQ Tests: 25 Self-Scoring Quizzes to Sharpen Your Mind."

      Note the areas that show a weakness. Test questions will be divided into sections: verbal, mathematical, spatial, visual, classification, logic and pattern recognition.

      Seek help from a tutor in low performance areas. A tutor can coach you to improve math, verbal skills and patterns.
