Purchase any available practice assessment tests. These practice exams will contain material that is similar to the content found in the actual assessment. Finishing and studying these practice tests will give you an idea of what to expect on the exam. Knowing the type and style of questions you will be asked to answer is important and should not be overlooked.
Gather and review all of your notes from relevant former and current classes. The material you have accumulated throughout your coursework is invaluable as a study aide. If you are missing or don't understand certain notes or problems, seek out your current or former professors during their office hours. These trained professionals will assist you with any material you do not understand. They might also give you helpful study tips.
Enroll in a study course. Many companies offer study courses for specialized certifications and assessment tests. Their main goal is to help students or professionals understand what they will be asked of during an assessment. Such courses are even available for SAT and ACT assessments.
Study your practice assessments and notes every night for at least three weeks prior to your exam. Create a schedule of strict study blocks that will allow you to take necessary breaks (see the References section). Exhaustion from studying will not help you learn. Taking weekly reviews of what you have learned will help keep you on track.
