How to Find Your FCAT Scores

The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test is a test administered to Florida students starting in third grade and continuing through high school. Florida students must pass the FCAT to graduate with their diploma from the Florida school systems. The FCAT measures students' proficiency in most basic subject matters, including reading, writing, math and science.

Your student's school district is responsible for testing your student and supplying you with the results of the FCAT in a timely manner.

Contact your child's school by telephone, email or in person. Inquire as to whether FCAT scores have been received by the school yet. It might take several months after students take the tests for the school to receive the scores and mail them to parents.

    • 2

Request a copy of the FCAT scores from the school. You might want to speak directly to your student's principal, assistant principal or guidance counselor to ensure a quick response. If you are not able to visit the school in person to make your request, send a letter and address it to one of the above mentioned school officials. Be sure to give your child's specific identification information, including full legal name, date of birth, Social Security or student ID number and valid address.

Contact your school district's District Assessment Coordinator by telephone or letter and request a copy of your student's FCAT scores. Once again, be sure to include all relevant identification information about your student in order to ensure that you receive the correct results. The District Assessment Coordinator will be able to make your student's FCAT scores available to you through the mail or by pickup at the local office.
