Although there is no single standard which governs all students, many private, local, non-profit and government organizations have taken on the challenge to establish digital age educational standards within their constituencies and areas of influence.
Some educational organizations bring thousands of educators and leaders together to collaborate on standards. The standards cover areas such as identifying the skills and knowledge students need to learn, skills educators need to teach students and skills school administrators need to establish the culture necessary to support digital age learning.
The new digital age offers new opportunities and new educational standards, required to empower students educationally so that they can identify and take advantage of these new outlets.
