Use the felt-tip pen to mark a single dot on the metal sheet.

Set up the metal sheet in front of the laser, and aim the laser at the point.

Fire the laser to burn a hole through the sheet. Compare the location of the burned hole to the marked point to instantly see whether your laser is firing on target.
