Instructions

Paint ghostly feet to decorate the classroom walls. Before beginning spread a large piece of plastic or an old sheet down to protect the floor as this project can be messy. Pour white washable paint in a large flat container and place it on the floor. Allow the children to come up one at a time to place their foot in the paint and make a footprint on a piece of black construction paper. As each student has a turn, give them a disposable wipe to remove the paint from their feet. Once the footprints are dr, draw a scary or silly face on the heel with a black marker.

Make a spider mask for the children to use during the class Halloween party. Provide each child with a large paper plate, black washable paint and a paint brush and ask them to paint the plate black. Once dry, use a hole punch to make two holes on each side of the paper plate. Cut four long strips from a black garbage bag for each student and show them how to lace the pieces through each hole. Show the students how to glue a craft stick on the back to complete the mask.

Design a ghostly Halloween necklace. Have the children squirt white school glue in the shape of a spooky ghost on a piece of 12 by 12 inch wax paper. Instruct the students to sprinkle glitter on the glue before adding googly eyes to the ghostly creation. Place a toothpick in the top to make a hole and allow to dry. Remove the toothpick and peel the design from the wax paper. Place a piece of black string in the hole to create a Halloween necklace.

Have the children brush glue on the pie shape using a cotton swab before sprinkling pumpkin pie spice over the glue to create yummy fragrant pumpkin pies.
