How to Make an Easy Triangle Witch

In creating this craft project with little ones, you are also reinforcing the recognition of triangles and circles, which is what this witch is made up of. The skill level of this craft can also be upgraded to kindergarten or first-grade level, simply by instructing the children to draw and cut out their own shapes.

Instructions

  1. How To Make An Easy Triangle Witch

    • 1

Cut out a large circle from the flesh colored construction paper. This will be used as the head.

    • 2

Cut out one large triangle from a sheet of black construction paper. This will be the body. Attach the head to the point of the triangle.

    • 3

Make the arms. Cut one sheet of black construction paper in half. Place the two halves on top of one another and cut out two matching triangles. These will be the arms. Attach the arms to the body by gluing the top points of each triangle to the back of the large triangle body. The wide sides of the triangle should be the edge of her sleeves.

    • 4

Make the hat. Using the last sheet of black construction paper, cut out a medium-size hat. The wide side of the triangle should cover the top of the witch's head.

    • 5

Attach the hat to the head of the witch, but leave at least 1 inch of hat unglued to add the hair. Cut pieces of yarn in various lengths and glue each strand to the head of the witch, covering up the ends of the yarn with the hat.

    • 6

Place the pair of wiggle eyes on her face. Cut out a small circle for her nose and attach. Using a crayon or marker, draw a mouth. Add a wart to the side of her nose, if desired.
