Bulletin Board Ideas for Preschool Friendship Theme

Preschool-aged kids can be nervous going to school for the first time. Making new friends is sometimes a daunting experience, so get them involved in making a bulletin board display that promotes friendship and love. Encouraging the kids to work together on a friendship project will break the ice and help them get over their nervousness about meeting new people.
  1. Friendship Tree

    • Create or purchase a tree to put on the bulletin board with many branches. Title the board "Friendship Tree" and pass out leaves to each child. Have each student write their name and tell what they like about friends or their favorite thing to do with a friend.

    Holding Hands

    • Trace each child's hand on construction paper and cut it out. Let them decorate it as they wish, and tape the hands on the bulletin board to look like they are holding on to one another. Title the board "Give Friendship A Hand."

    Picking Friends

    • Place a photo of each child inside a construction paper flower that the children can make themselves. Attach the flowers to the bulletin board and title the board "I Love To Pick New Friends" or "Watch New Friendships Bloom."

    Friendship Quilt

    • Pass out a small construction paper square to each child and let them decorate it with glue, rhinestones, feathers, markers and other craft supplies. Put each child's name or picture on their squares and attach them to the bulletin board to form a quilt. Title the board "Friendship Quilt."
