Determine the Greek mythological characters you want your students to become familiar with. Print a list of the characters and their descriptions, which you will use as the basis for your card game. Give each student a list.
Create a table using the word processing program on your computer and enter the names of the Greek mythological characters. On card stock, print the names in large letters. You should get four to six cards on one sheet of card stock.
Make corresponding cards with the descriptions of the Greek mythological characters. You can use different colors of card stock for different games.
Print the same picture on the back of each card by inserting clip art. For a different card game with different characters, use a different picture.
Laminate the cards and cut them apart.
Demonstrate how to play the game. Shuffle the cards and place them all face down. Students turn over a card. To get a match, a student must turn over the corresponding character's name or description. If he does not get a match, he turns the cards face down, and the next student takes a turn. When a student makes a match, he gets another turn. Play continues until all of the cards have been matched. The student with the most matches wins.
