Military School for Teens

Military schools are schools that focus on academics, military training and physical conditioning. They emphasize structure and positive discipline. There are many different options when looking at military schools, such as boarding schools with a strong military program and exclusively military academies.
  1. The Episcopal School of Texas

    • A co-ed boarding school for grades 9 through 12 and a day school for grades 6 through 12, Even though the Episcopal School is not an official military school, it has an award winning Junior ROTC program and honor cadet programs.

    New York Military Academy

    • The New York Military Academy is a traditional military academy, with all students being considered cadets. The school is co-ed and offers classes to students in grades 7 through 12.

    Marine Military Academy

    • A boys' school based on the teachings and standards of the United States Marine Corps, this school has classes for boys in grades 8 through 12.

    Wentworth Military Academy and College

    • This academy is the oldest military academy west of the Mississippi River. It is a co-ed school for students in grades 9 through 12 in Lexington, Missouri. It also has a junior college program.

    Other Options

    • There are many options for military schools for teens in the United States. These are some of the most highly recommended, but there are lots of good schools out there. Make sure to visit the campus, talk to current students and alumni and to check graduation rates before choosing a school.
