Participate in the Box Tops for Education program. Participants cut the box tops off of designated products and send them in to Box Tops for Education. That group makes a donation to the school based on the number of box tops. In 2010, the organization claimed the participating schools earned a combined $59 million.

Check private sector programs for education programs. As of 2011, Campbell's soup ran a "Labels for Education" promotion, and Kemp's dairy products held the Kemps Nickels for Schools program. Both were set up for schools, students or parents to turn product usage into free donations for the school.

Organize students to collect aluminum cans and turn them in for cash at your local recycling center. Donate the cash to the school.
