Age Requirements for Military School

Parents who find that their children are becoming too much of a disciplinary hassle often turn to outside influences to try to whip them into shape. One of these options is military boarding school, an institution that will shape any child from a rebellious youth to a disciplined, upstanding individual. But to enroll your child, you must first know the age requirements.
  1. Elementary School Minimum Age

    • Military elementary school is an institution that teaches discipline and responsibility to troubled youths. The minimum age for a child to enroll in this school is 7 years old.

    Elementary School Maximum Age

    • Because it is an elementary school, no one older than 12 is allowed admittance to military elementary school.

    Boarding School Minimum Age

    • Teenagers who are either seeking to be in a military environment or who are in need of dire behavioral help are enlisted into military boarding schools. The minimum age of enrollment at these institutions is 12.

    Boarding School Maximum Age

    • Military boarding schools are in many ways similar to high school. The maximum age of enrollment at a military boarding school is 17.

    After 17 Years Old

    • After the age of 17, there is no option for military school. However, the individual is eligible to enlist in the military.
