Eagle Hill School is a private boarding school in Hardwick, Massachusetts. The school is for students with attention deficit disorder, dyslexia and other disabilities. Eagle Hill admits both boys and girls in grades eight through 12. It has an annual summer camp for students ages 10 through 18. The school has clubs, sports teams and student activities, and organizes weekend trips in addition to its academic program. The school features a 10-1 student-to-teacher ratio and has a core curriculum in science, foreign language, history, English and math. Students must also complete an internship before graduating. Turning Point High School is a public alternative school in the Arlington, Texas, independent school district. Turning Point works with seven local high schools to provide a program for special-needs students with behavioral problems in the area. Turning Point teaches life skills and provides positive reinforcement. Appropriate social and behavioral skills are rewarded through a points system, and the high school has counselors, drug and alcohol interventionists, and social workers on staff. The school provides instruction in core subjects such as English, math, science and social studies, and also offers special education classes.
